Our Successes
CMC has played an integral part in the success of many large development
efforts. Below is just a sample of our recent projects.
Telecommunications Industry
CMC is providing thought leadership
in the design and development of our client's Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition
(J2EE) implementation of their Visibility Services web enabled product. CMC is
also providing full lifecycle software development activities, including
training to our client’s Enterprise Technology staff on the Java 2 platform
Standard Edition (J2SE), J2EE, Object-Oriented Design, as well as an overview of
the Rational Unified Process (RUP). CMC continues to provide mentoring
throughout the current projects to our client’s Enterprise Technology staff.
The completion of these projects will enable our client to deploy high
performance server-side Java solutions that support high availability, robust
internalization framework and security while maintaining flexibility and
extensibility to meet future business requirements.
Logistics
CMC helped a world leader in express delivery to develop its Global
Inventory Visualization, their trading partner messaging systems and Demand
Chain Supply Suite project. CMC worked directly with the CTO to build
applications that were scalable and robust to handle the high volume of customer
use.
This is a 100% Pure Java Application using EJB, WebLogic, SAP, Supply Chain
Management and Logistics. The applications built form the message processing
backbone for external customer connectivity to the corporations and included all
backend processes. Additionally, it became a major connectivity conduit as the
Corporation began processing customer data. The application integrated all
existing infrastructure to ensure a smooth transition into the new technology.
Technology
CMC developed three major programs for a leading technology company’s
Resource & Development Department: Plot Code Output, Run System Command and
Graphical System. All of these programs are usable through the Internet. The
application is a 100% Pure Java Application.
Banking and Finance
A web-enabled Inventory Management and Control System (IMACS) that
allows an automobile leasing subsidiary to manage inventory over the Internet.
Vehicles previously leased are refurbished and committed to inventory for later
sale or release. IMACS is a pure-Java applet, written using Sun’s JDK 1.1.7,
which communicates with Netscape Application Server for backend processing
against an Oracle database. IMACS uses Java’s Swing library for its large
48-screen user interface.
Healthcare
ICON Web allows a user to submit orders for medical products. The
user can view, create and modify an order either while connected to the Internet
or remotely. Peripheral functions allow a user to store a set of regularly
ordered items, customer contact information and appointments. When accessing it
locally, ICON Web runs on a local copy of Personal Web Server and communicates
with a local InterBase database. When accessed online, ICON Web runs on an IIS
web server and talks to Oracle. ICON Web uses a software package called
SynchPoint to coordinate updates between the local and the remote databases.
Although written in Java, ICON Web also incorporates JavaScript, COM/DCOM and
Active Server Pages and outputs dynamic HTML.
